the beginning of the summer season
I like to think frankness is one of my personality traits or at least... it comes out at times. I can be frank if I want to! That is probably the best way to place my relationship with being direct and open. If I hold myself back without thought barriers, it is honestly quite easy to be frank. Though, wouldn't that be the case with anyone? I want a place to be completely open, but also quite relaxed and Dreamwidth seems to fit that criteria. Honestly, I wanted to open a Substack at first before I learned about Dreamwidth. Perhaps I still want to, but I think it'd be a bit more professional. This can be the perfect place to infodump so everyone buckle your seatbelts- I don't have a character limit holding me back here!
I should like to introduce myself first? I feel like I sound so awkward right now please give me a few posts to get used to this ðŸ˜
I am nearly 20 years old. I am the child of Bangladeshi immigrants! I am the first in my immediate family to be born in the states. Bangla is lose on my tongue, but has strengthened over the years. Islam flows in my blood and continuously humbles me.
I study architecture and am heading into my third year and if I am completely honest- I am incredibly intimidated by my study at the moment. Intimidated. Fascinated. Somewhere there. Education aside, as in outside of studying and stress, I absolutely love learning about architecture, as well as planning. The relationships between community, civilized society, and dwellings is one we take for granted. I could now go into how our current stage of capitalism has destroyed community-based planning and architecture, but this post is about me, so perhaps another day!
I currently crave seeing my friends and want to see them quite badly! I am also a super avid fan of gummies, like SUPER avid fan. Currently, I am chewing on Haribo Dinosoar gummies. I also have been craving Coconut Italian Ice for over a week now. I am also fascinated by skincare as well and have been learning the importance of it for the last year with genuine interest.
This summer I would like to
- Write many more posts! Quite vague but I don't really want to force it
- Create a portfolio website
- Look into Revit classes
- Driving school (I know... I started looking into classes)
- Create art (cyanotypes, embroidery, etc.)
I hope I can slowly open up more here! Quite excited to see how this blog will go.
